Animal Logic

I am flying to Sydney, to work in Animal Logic. First gig in animation! Goodbye videogames, at least for now.

I will start as a Shader Writer on a movie about penguins. They are going for a photoreal look, although it will be a musical involving a lot of tap dancing. This is the first test they showed me... Looks quite beautiful and promising!

They also want me to do snow and ice, although they seem pretty good at it already. I'll have to be the Renderman expert in house... but my expertise is more in shading in general and mental ray. Hopefully I'll do well. Wish me luck!

I am expected to help out on an epic movie about the battle of thermopilis. It's called 300. That sounds cool too.
